a test, an experiment, just trying to sketch out something. I love the idea of a sketch, gesture based marks and form, making something without expectation. this film really was the culmination of a lot of work and thought bringing the sr2 to ohio and detroit. i can’t wait for what is ahead
so freaking grateful I got to work with my good friend @syd_____o on this, and for @midwestcowboy_ being the best consultant ever. I remember the night before watching jarmusch on the tv and just trying to figure it all out. Thank you endlessly to @shannoncgriffin for the edit and the revisions and just being down to go into this with syd and I. and terrific terrific sound work from @_gluch .

my dear director alex and I flew to okc with nothing more than an sr2, some 500T, and a hope and a dream. The winds of the deep midwest and the elemental energy of the ben quad boys carved out a project i’m honestly proud to share - just some vibes that i could never have predicted or constructed, and for that I am a eternally grateful❤️ wild that we delivered this video in less than a week from when the camera rolled, through film perhaps all things are possible.
Special thanks to @roosterkhaymen and @wooley.studio for getting us some lighting and shape and really elevating what was possible on a last minute timeframe.

this production was a wild one, and the only reason why anything came out on the other side is the killer camera and g&e team that had my back the entire process-thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
continuously impressed by the rigor and flexibility of the 16 negative, incorporating all sorts of environments and light into such a lovely texture, resolution, and latitude….loving it more and more! and huge thanks to Alex for the thousand and one rough cuts and for being down to push and focus the energy in the edit; i feel like we got somewhere really interesting with this one and very grateful to be able to collaborate with the cleveland italian stallion on the post vibes🐴
