I am so grateful to call
@madisoncircusspace my second home π₯°
I have never been great at writing end of year posts, but this year deserves a proper thank you. Getting in front of an audience has always been terrifying to me, but MCS has always been such a supportive space filled with kind people who encourage me to pursue my dreams.
This year I had the chance to:
- Become a pink troll (Poppy) alongside
@woolerydesign @grace.shannon in my first comedy routine
- Perform a political statement piece about love that is unsafe in America with
@mad_motley
- Co-Produce MCS's first ever Pride Show with
@vampyrxe ,where I performed a deeply personal act about religious trauma
- Celebrate
@beckyraekrueger and
@alexcuesitfornow wedding with an act where
@lizzy_kirkland and I themed our piece around skill sharing - we taught each dance, acro, silk fans, and duo bodyloops aerial
- Co-Produced MCS's sets at my favorite yearly festival Shifting Gears with
@aerial_potato where Lizzy Kirkland and I performed our act again
- Dance in a Halloween Act telling the story of La Llorona with Kelly Bix,
@epinigis Silvia Lopez,
@lizzy_kirkland ,
@aerial_potato ,
@amtiffey , Anna Marie
- Perform 3 acts at a Fantasy Ball hosted by
@lunarquillrevelries alongside
@ashe.shanafelt @twirlabelle @ariel_niforatos where I debuted my first ever blindfolded aerial act and danced with swords, chains, lyra, and silk fans
- Co-Produce MCS's New Performers Show alongside
@bri.marvell who did an amazing job producing for the first time! So excited to see what she does with the show next year
- Travel to Las Vegas to train at the Las Vegas Circus Center
- Make so many incredible new friends! So grateful to be a part of this community <3
