It’s been a little over a year since we started this. Officially our anniversary was around November but we want to thank everyone for following along this experiment. All the artists/creators who have performed and collaborated with us. All the spaces that have trusted and allowed us to collaborate with them. Anyone who has helped in anyway with advice/inspiration and contributed to the community. All who have stopped by, be it intentional or by chance and allowed themselves to be present with us. We’ve tried to help curate a safe space for all. We did over 15 shows all together this year and it wouldn’t be possible without the community we’ve been part of. We hope to keep doing this and exploring the possibilities. New collaborations and new discoveries. We hope you keep following along and we will looking forward to continue sharing with all of you.There are too many good performance clips to edit together so apologies. If you’re free and looking for a low-key, decompression friendly environment, come to the back room of @thenextchapterli on Fridays between 7ish and 10ish. Live performances of ambient inspired music by different artists using electronic/acoustic instruments accompanied by field recordings and live visuals. DJ sets of related music through out. All while being able to browse a large selection of books and finding a comfortable area to sit. Sometimes there’s even tea. We’re still developing the model/parameters so nothing is set in stone except for the last point. We are in difficult times where there’s constant sources of stress and pressure so we hope to give at least a brief moment of decompression in a space that’s conductive to it alongside artists and performers that will help guide the way.
