It has been such a pleasure to work on this and really connect on a deeper level with the Purchase music community. There is so much love embedded in these recordings and the reception to them has been amazing & so heartwarming.
It’s an uncertain and scary time to live in this country, and sometimes it becomes difficult to even justify going to an art school for a bachelors degree that wouldn’t necessarily get me work. However, I find solace in recordings like these because they represent something greater than me. They represent the tightly woven fabric of a community that’s self sustaining, feeding itself by everyone sharing together a wealth of musical knowledge and collaboration.
The community is what its all about. Having fun and playing shows with your friends.
So let this be your inspiration to reach out to your colleagues! Record on each-other’s music, play together, put on DIY shows & make connections and contacts that will last. Anywhere and whoever you are, feed the scene and let the scene feed you!!
We’re all in this together and now is the time to lift each other up!
