The Breck Banned Book Club (B3C) is very honored to announce Kellyn Ender, the executive director of Building Hope, will be present at their next meeting, May 21st at 6:00 pm at the Breckenridge Library to join the discussion on Jay Asher’s Thirteen Reasons Why - while also speaking on the important work Building Hope does to reduce suicide rates and improve mental health resource access. Anyone can join, regardless of whether you’ve read the book or not, although it is a quick read that will undoubtedly lead to a good discussion. There will be no regular storytimes, Lego clubs, or other youth programs during the month of May while library staff gather their dinosaur eggs, dust off their artifacts, and prepare a roaring good time for Summer Reading Program this month! We’ve got some wonderful news! 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that the Summit County Library Foundation has received a Spark Good Local Grant in the amount of $1,165 from Walmart! 💙📚 This generous support will help fund materials for the Understory at the South Branch, our subterranean space for crafting, curiosity, exploration and community connection. space designed to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and bring our community together in new ways.
