A stone farmhouse with nearly three centuries of stories to tell. Originally built in 1743, this historic home has been carefully reimagined to honor its past while embracing modern living.
Preservation is at the heart of everything we do. Using traditional construction techniques, the restoration celebrates reclaimed wood beams and floor joists, hand-applied plaster walls, and locally sourced stone with authentic pointing. These elements flow effortlessly into a thoughtfully designed large-scale addition that feels both timeless and intentional.
The home features details such as a Mercer tile fireplace handcrafted by an artisan, traditional true-divided wood windows, beautifully exposed structural elements that were uncovered after years of layering, and custom millwork by our sister company @ciderpresswoodworks

Black Walnut Estate | Guest House
A reflection on an award-winning work of craft and character.
Completed in 2012, the Black Walnut Guest House is a study in restraint, material honesty, and enduring detail. Locally harvested white oak timbers were hand-cut on site, with every element thoughtfully executed, from the hand-planed chamfered support posts to the carefully laid stone soldier courses crowning each window. Projects like this remind us of the importance of detail and design integrity.

The Reigelsville Contemporary Oasis Barn
This project represents a thoughtful transformation of a traditional timber-frame barn into a refined modern retreat. The renovation was designed and built to preserve the original character while introducing clean, contemporary lines and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
The exterior was opened up with Fleetwood steel windows and full-length ReSawn Willow siding, featuring minimal seams to emphasize simplicity and precision. The barn’s timber-frame structure was carefully restored, allowing modern design to merge seamlessly with authenticity and craftsmanship.

This new-build residence offers a peaceful retreat from urban life. The goal was to foster connection and welcome the outdoor space for gathering. Crafted from oak and stone, this design blends warm, natural materials with a clean, minimal aesthetic for a perfect balance of comfort, sustainability, and simplicity. The project’s sustainability focus lies in incorporating green building practices and energy-efficient windows, high-performance insulation, low-VOC materials, proper ventilation, and solar panels.
