Author Talk-Sharon Udasin
Saturday, February 28, 2026, 11:00 AM
Central Library, 2100 Park Place
Join us for an author talk with Sharon Udasin. Udasin will be presenting the recent book that she co-authored, Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America. The topic of the book is the proliferation of "forever chemicals" in consumer products and the harmful effects that these chemicals have had on humans and the environment.
One of the case studies presented in the book concerns the enormous amount of these harmful chemicals that were dumped into the Tennessee River over the course of the 20th century and the irreparable damage they have done to communities throughout northern Alabama.
This event is free and open to the public.
For questions, contact Jim Murray at 205-226-3640 or [email protected].
