New posts now on Bluesky only, let me know if you’re over there, still Subvertiser.
Can’t see a viable alternative to Instagram anywhere else but it’s gonna take some work.
Bluesky is much more up to you than the algorithm we all love / hate. Need to figure out how to make a starterpack for uk street art if anyone wants to help. #Techlash #Neoluddism #youarecontent
Since Gmail decided it would feed all my emails in to its AI machine unless i turned this off i decided to move away from Google. Proton Mail has a free service check it out @protonprivacy also has a VPN and I’m also move my photos off of Google Photos to Proton Drive though this is taking a bit longer.
Dispatches from Nuart Aberdeen, Part 1: Disrupting the Logic of Public Language.
Most language in public space is functional, telling us where to go and what to buy. Rarely do words in the street ask us to slow down or think.
Throughout Nuart Aberdeen 2026, many of the works operated precisely by interrupting that automated relationship with urban language.
One of the clearest examples was Dr. D’s mural reading “VERIFY YOU ARE HUMAN,” installed above the entrance of a building where the artist added a painted third door, turning the piece into a kind of urban CAPTCHA. The phrase immediately recalled the endless repetitive tests of digital space, which by now occupies our lives just as much as physical public space itself. Yet once relocated onto the street, the sentence stopped functioning as instruction and became something stranger, more existential.
The same logic appeared in Dr. D’s hijacked road signs scattered across Aberdeen during the festival. Small alterations inside familiar visual systems disrupted the unconscious habits through which cities are normally navigated, briefly forcing passers-by out of automatic perception and into awareness.
That strategy ran throughout much of Nuart Aberdeen 2026, where poetry often appeared less as literary form than as interference inserted into the smooth flow of urban communication.
More dispatches from Nuart Aberdeen coming soon!
I’ve moved to posting any new work on to Bluesky which has Flashes automatically linked to it that makes it look and feel like Instagram. Look it up. I haven’t found anything better and it seems to be promoting the better side of social media. The removal of end-to-end encryption (E2EE) on Instagram means that Meta will regain the ability to read and analyze all direct messages, photos, and videos shared through the platform, significantly compromising user privacy. After May 8, 2026, conversations will no longer be private, as they can be accessed by Meta and potentially shared with law enforcement. Unlike Instagram Bluesky has said it won’t use user content to train generative AI tools. #bigbrother #bigbrotherwatch #betterthanmeta #youarecontent #verifyyouareahuman

Evolution of YOU’RE JUST A GRASS WITH A BADGE in photos. My tribute to plastic Police “PCSO’s” and the Met in general.

#1 places you never thought your artwork would turn up, this months edition of #Vogue advertising #Fendi usually I’m more of an offendi kind of guy. I left this riot shield at @rockaway_park a little while ago to become part of the scenery. I’ll be putting in a @dacsforartists claim for this one 😁 If any artists out there don’t know about them get involved. They collect and distribute royalties for artists when used in books, magazines or on tv. As well as helping artists license their work. They’re a not for profit organisation and can really help when you’re trying to hustle along as an artist! I originally created a billboard with this text when the Met started advertising to recruit PCSO’s #yourejustagrasswithabadge I’m uncredited but photo by @martinparrstudio styling by @jeanieus
8 years. No Justice.
Grenfell Next of Kin Press Release
for the 8th Anniversary of Grenfell Tower Fire
Saturday 14th June 2025 marks the 8th anniversary of the
horrific fire that killed our mums, dads, children, husbands,
wives, partners, brothers, sisters, grandparents and
grandchildren...our direct immediate families. 8 years on we
thank all those who stand with us in solidarity and understanding
of the huge toll this has taken on our families, the community and
the survivors. What we need is justice, which we have given up on
as we come to understand how justice was systemically derailed
and denied. What we need now is transparency and truth about
how that was done and acknowledgment of that fundamental
truth. The announcement of the Inquiry by then Prime Minister
Theresa May, not only delayed prosecutions but it has derailed it.
The Metropolitan Police were the custodians of delivering our
justice and we feel let down and disappointed by their failings.
On the 8th anniversary we are calling for two things:
1) is transparency around how that decision was made so
immediately and with what level of legal advice about its impact
on delaying the criminal charges.
2) a call for global ban of ACM PE cladding on high rise buildings.
As part of this call, we have worked with artist and designer, Noel
Douglas. Music by Lowkey ft. Mai Khalil @maikhalilmusic@lowkeyonline
