▣ SUBMERSION FESTIVAL 2026 ▢ Friday 15 & Saturday 16 May | 20:00 ▢ 12€ (one day ticket), 18€ (2 day ticket) ◇ Submersion Records was founded in Thessaloniki in October 2020 and has released 29 albums to date, featuring artists such as Giannis Arapis, Saber Rider, Giorgos Katsanos, Chrysa Tsaltampasi, Giorgos Karras and Kalliopi Mitropoulou. In 2025, the label presented the first festival dedicated to its work in Athens, warmly received by the audience. This year, Submersion returns to KET with the second edition of Submersion Festival — a showcase reflecting the breadth and diversity of the label’s releases from 2020 to the present. Polyphony remains at the center of the programme. From Emi Path’s experimental songs built around voice and synthesizers, to Demi Spriggs’s acoustic English-language folk and Myrsini Kalle’s atmospheric ambient music, the first evening brings together recent releases alongside new material. On the second day, This Darkness of Mine presents a new release through an ambient neoclassical ensemble accompanied by visuals created specifically for the festival. CALLIOPE — with vocals, euphonium and synthesizers — moves between Greek folk traditions and electronic ambient textures. Closing the festival, As Never Before presents a new album combining electronic elements, acoustic guitar and songwriting. Closing the second day of the festival will be @this_darkness_of_mine This Darkness of Mine is the personal music project of @vagelis_moschos , musician, sound engineer, producer, poet, and artist. He has participated in artistic collectives, bands and theatrical performances, both on a technical and creative level. He has released more than ten albums and EPs in the ambient/drone-neoclassical genre and has performed in concerts alongside musicians such as Ghone and Anna Vs June. Drawing inspiration from classical music, Nowhen Sonatas, the new album by This Darkness of Mine (Submersion Records 2026), presents works by renowned composers such as Erik Satie and Ludwig van Beethoven through his own unique ambient neoclassical style. A special set accompanied by visuals will be performed at Submersion Festival on the 16th of May at KET. Musician and performer @calllope_ (Kalliopi Gerakianaki) spends most of her time trying to understand how to use synthesizers, loopers, and effect pedals, as well as untangling all the cables that connect them. She sings, creates unusual samples, while playing the trumpet and the euphonium, instruments she treats as an extension of her voice. Her debut album MÄDCHENBLUMEN (Submersion Records, 2023) is a collage of music, poetry, and field recordings, through which she attempts to approach themes of forgiveness, femininity, and her overall identity as an artist, daughter, woman and human being.
