The love and appreciation Vimal Khanna is receiving from audiences truly belongs to the legendary writer Surender Mohan Pathak and his unforgettable world of storytelling. For decades, his characters, emotions, and gripping narratives have lived in the hearts of readers across India. Bringing that world to the screen has been both a responsibility and an honour. The strength of Vimal Khanna comes from the depth, honesty, and timeless appeal of Pathak sir’s writing. @malla.kuhu @jan.das.1990 @arti.sharma.dop @mxplayer @rohit_colorist @niteshkumar_sangam @vikash__das001

Two decades later, this film still feels special. I am so happy to have been a part of it.

A powerful story, soon coming alive as a feature film. I just finished reading “Jhia Te Pathuria Sahiru” by Mrs. Chandra Mishra, and I am still carrying the feeling of it in my heart. This is not just a book. It feels like stepping into Puri, Odisha in 1970s, walking through its lanes, hearing everyday conversations, and sensing the quiet strength of people living simple lives with deep emotions. The writing is very much rooted, so you do not only read the world of the book, you truly feel it. What moved me most is the honesty. Mrs. Mishra writes with courage, without fear of society’s judgment, without worrying whether the world will label the woman in her story as “helpless” just because she is sensitive, or “too ambitious” just because she dares to dream. The book gently reminds us that a woman can carry pain and ambition together, and that both are human and valid. All the stories and life chapters are truly heart touching. The emotions in this book are rare. They are the kind we do not often talk about, but we all feel. The chapters are filled with moments that stay with you long after you turn the last page. Each story and each phase of life feels like a mirror, sometimes soft, sometimes painful, but always real. Knowing that this book is going to be made into a feature film makes me genuinely happy. The soul of this story deserves a wider audience. It has depth, atmosphere, and emotional truth, the kind that can make people pause, feel, and remember. On a personal note, I feel even more grateful because I know the writer very well. She is a relative of mine, and I feel lucky to have come across this book and experienced her storytelling so closely. “Jhia Te Pathuria Sahiru” is a beautiful, sensitive, and meaningful read, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves honest, rooted, and heartwarming stories.
