#trialanderror is a big part of sewing pattern design. A pattern can look great on paper, and a muslin can look perfect on a mannequin, but how does the garment look on an actual person?
That's where Meg comes in. She's the fit model for Style Falcon patterns. Her feedback is essential to the development of our block and every pattern we make.
Unlike most sewing patterns, which use youthful hourglass-figured models, Style Falcon patterns are designed for mature figures. Body changes that happen to most of us as we age are built in to the block from the beginning.
We always do a few fittings - first in basic muslin to assess the overall design, proportions and fit, and then in the intended fabric to fine-tune everything.
