SFR18A | Tiny Glade 🐑 Composer Oda Tilset sets the mood, you set the bricks. The soundtrack to peak relaxation, Tiny Glade, on vinyl through Stumpy Frog Records. It starts with birdsong and the ambient sound of a nearby brook. Soon, a hesitant piano joins, with short hops, followed by a friendly flute (played by the composer’s own mother). Soon, many other instruments find their place, and the soundtrack to Tiny Glade truly kicks off. From her makeshift studio in Norway, sheets hung from the ceiling to reduce reverb as they record, Oda Tilset created the game’s atmosphere, working closely with her Noknok Audio collaborator Martin Kvale. For this record release of the OST, Oda went in and mixed a full, cohesive album; a distillation of Tiny Glade’s dynamic music system for vinyl. The result is downright decompressing. It’s you. Out in a meadow. Out in a field. Hear the wildlife, hear the strings, hear the passing winds. Unwind, de-stress, and let the Tiny Glade take you. The ‘Visions in Bewlay’ variant is limited to 150 copies stand-alone and 150 copies bundled in the LIC bundle. In The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, answers lie in the soil of the town of Bewlay. When ‘barrow-digger’ Thomasina Bateman arrives in the remote town of Bewlay, nothing seems to go her way. The locals are peculiar and unwelcoming, her contact has vanished, and even her tools are missing. But these mundane setbacks pale in comparison to the supernatural horrors that soon close in as she sets out to excavate the mysterious local legend Hob’s Barrow… Tasked with crafting soundscapes for the Cloak and Dagger Games developed folk horror game, composer The Machine. The Demon. crafted a series of tracks covering the story’s many moods and locales. Ominous, dangerous, bizarre, but always utterly immersive; the soundtrack transports you back into the folk tale with the drop of a needle.
