This sweet Stumpcraft travel puzzle came to me thanks to @sarahdoespuzzles who is hosting her journey, and to @puzzle_pun who coordinated the list and sent it my way after completing it. This is one life affirming puzzle! As I puzzled it, I pondered my own past, current, and future seasons. I feel proud and blessed to have experienced the ones behind m and look forward to whatever the future brings me. What a special art image!
When I have a Stumpcraft puzzle on my table, I in ow beyond any shadow of a doubt that I will enjoy it, because that’s been my experience so far. Each and every one I’ve completed has left me in a state of awe and contemplation. I love digging into the deep dive on their website to learn about the artist and the location or theme of each puzzle. Also, the designers notes that tell the story of how the puzzle and whimsies were designed in a way that both honor and highlight the art and the artists vision. Thank you for what you do and for doing it so well!
p.s. be sure to check out the two multi-part whimsies, or whim-whams as some call them. They’re so good!

Have you ever seen a puzzle like this?!
I asked for a @stumpcraft puzzle for my birthday and let my family choose one for me. I was thrilled when they picked Autumn’s Glory because it featured artwork by my artist friend @noemiecote . Puzzle and art in one go? Perfect.
I had heard about Stumpcraft when a family friend started working with them a few years ago and trying one of their puzzles was on my wishlist for a while. They’re a Canadian company and partner with Canadian artists, which is so awesome. I’d never done a wooden puzzle like this before. (I also secretly wished that maybe someday they would make one with my art but wanted to try out their puzzles first 🤫.)
AND THEN! I went to put the puzzle together and discovered it had secrets! Not only was there this adorable little chair, there were a couple other hidden items. (I won’t spoil all the fun for you.)
This is was hands down one of my favourite gifts this year.
It’s official: Stumpcraft, I’m a fan. Thanks for making these puzzles!
Have you done a wooden puzzle before? Would you want to try something like this?
Edit to add: Bonus fun fact - @siris__series designed this puzzle and she’s a family friend!! I didn’t know this until after I posted this reel. Small world. 😁

For the moms who taught us that the smallest moments are often the ones that matter most. 🌸
This Mother’s Day, give something that invites connection — slow mornings at the table, easy conversation, shared laughter, and the quiet joy of creating something together, piece by piece.
At StumpCraft, we believe puzzling is about more than finishing the picture. It’s about being present. Taking a break from the noise. Appreciating art, detail, and the people sitting beside you.
In a world that moves quickly, puzzling gives us a reason to slow down — to reconnect, unwind, and spend meaningful time together.
Because the best gifts aren’t always things.
They’re memories made around the table.
They’re time shared without distraction.
They’re moments you’ll come back to long after the last piece is placed.
Locally crafted in Calgary with heirloom quality and a love for Canadian art.
Grab a puzzle, and let’s start connecting! And there’s still time to shop the Mother’s Day Collection online 🌸

This Mother’s Day, give something that invites you to sit side by side, hands busy, conversation easy.
This puzzle marks the debut of designer Siri Olson, who has carefully hidden pieces of life within the wildflowers inspired by Lori Anne McKague’s vivid interpretation of Lac la Hache. Along its 19km shoreline, moments like these already exist.
This is your chance to recreate them, together.
Every turn of a piece becomes a small act of connection. A pause. A shared discovery.
Because the best gifts aren’t just things.
They’re time, presence, and something to come back to.
