As some of you know I collect and set up those porcelain light up Christmas villages. My collection has grown a ton over the last few years which means I need to clear out my living room. My village has a total of 48 light up houses, 69 + accessories.
This whole setup now takes two 6foot long tables, a 5foot long table and 8 plastic storage bins.

I’m sure it is no surprise that I have ADHD. I was diagnosed in 2nd grade with ADD and dyslexia (30-50% of people with ADHD also have a learning disability, I’m a statistic woot woot!). ADD is no longer an official classification; it is now under the umbrella term of ADHD being either in-attentive, hyperactive or combined type. I do still say I have ADD, but I’m slowly learning to say ADHD in-attentive.
A thing Neurotypicals frequently don’t understand is that ADHD is a spectrum. There’s a large range in how much it impacts one’s life. Some people need medication and some people can get by without any. There is no one size fits all for ADHD and the coping mechanisms used in ones life.
A Neurotypical once told me the best way I ever communicated what it’s like for my ADHD brain is when I am on medication “I’ve never heard silence quite this loud. - @taylorswift ” This is due to the ability to have multiple thoughts running through my head at the same time which is a concept that can be very hard for people to grasp; where it’s every day life for me.
Despite being diagnosed at an early age, I never really learned what ADHD meant and how it affected my life until I got much older; really the last few years as awareness of neurodiversity has come to light.
I learned some things I thought were my quirks but are part of being ADHD (my dyslexia also impact these) some are ‘all or nothing’, strong emotions, rejection sensitivity, analysis paralysis, forgetting to eat/drink/go to the bathroom and more.
I also want to highlight invisible strengths that I see in myself (again my dyslexia also impact these as well) such as creativity, multitasking, hyperfocus,resilience, empathy and a strong sense of fairness.

I’ve talked to some ADHD’rs who were diagnosed later in life. I just want everyone to know this “label” can be such a strength it’s about learning how work with.

I loved every second of puzzling this image with the amazing sturdy click of pieces and the vibrant color pallet. This puzzle is extra special to me as I bought it in person from Dawn at USA Nationals. I do regret not getting the whale out of this release but my mom had really been wanting the bear and I had very limited space in my luggage.

I have a major sweet tooth and this fun puzzle by @galisonpuzzles just reinforced my craving for cake!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Take a break and relax with a puzzle. I took some time to reset with this colorful @wentworthpuzzles puzzle. Chameleon is part of Wentworth Puzzles mini mindful series. This puzzle is unique as it is comprised of 78 repetitive shapes with an irregular border. This puzzle really felt like a little reset for me as I approached it differently than a standard cut puzzle.

Vintage Splash was an absolute dream to puzzle. I loved all of the fun details throughout this puzzle though the puzzle shared bubbles were my favorite. I also loved the cascade of ducks falling out of the tub.
Everything was perfection; there was zero puzzle dust, an amazing color pallet, matte finished pieces and the stickability was great. The sturdy box also comes with a poster and a mesh drawstring bag.
