Nike has always had an edge. They’ve always been unapologetic about movement, ambition, the grit of sport. So the general tone of this line makes sense for the brand, in my opinion. The problem is that the line lifts runners up by stepping on walkers. Real people who are LITERALLY walking past the ad — marathoners taking walk breaks, para and adaptive athletes, charity walkers, people with injuries — and asking them to read a sign that calls them “tolerated” at best. #nike #advertising #marketing #bostonmarathon #adcampaign
