And at the heart of it all is Mark Axiak.
Born in Sydney in 1975 to Maltese parents, Mark has been immersed in international performance and studio recording since 1989. After leaving Australia in 2004, he spent more than two decades touring, recording and living around the world. From Sydney to London, Oslo, New York, Stockholm and beyond, Mark has worked as a producer and engineer across countless genres and cultures.
He has been endorsed by Fender and Gretsch, scored film and TV soundtracks, collaborated with artists from Berlin to Mali and Senegal, toured with major African acts and even performed at corporate offices of Sony Music. Indie, mainstream pop, major labels, underground scenes. He has seen it all.
That depth of experience is obvious the moment you work with him.
Studio X places strong emphasis on the enjoyment of the recording process. The focus is on performance, comfort and eliminating the stress that can sometimes come with stepping into a studio.
