Last year, Malaysian artist @cloakwork stopped by during his Europe tour. He teamed up with @georg_waibel and @philipp_daniel_walter_becker for a @cloakwork × @studiovierkant concept wall on Züricher Straße in Stuttgart-Hallschlag. “BUY THE TICKET, ENJOY THE RIDE” — the iconic quote from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas stands for diving headfirst into a world of curiosity, risk and uncertainty. In many ways, graffiti is exactly about embracing that dynamic: discovery, adventure, danger and whatever consequences come with it. Once you’re in, there’s no turning back — so you might as well enjoy the wild ride. Big thanks to @montanacans for the support, @schreiber.danny for the fresh progress shots, and @cloakwork for squeezing us into your packed schedule and for the great time together

At »Österreichischer Platz« in the center of Stuttgart, a former parking garage was transformed into a place for sport and exercise. The dark areas were to become colorful, inviting and friendly and encourage visitors to get moving. To achieve this, we used playful bold typography, which we placed in the space using anamorphosis so that it could be read without distortion from a defined point of view. Words such as »MOVE« or »REPEAT« are painted on the floor, walls and ceiling throughout the space. To top it of we enriched the composition with background elements and numerous patterns in a graffiti-style.

We were asked by @deutschebahn to paint the ceiling of the station underpass in the spa town of Bad Oeynhausen. Thanks for the out-of-the-ordinary job. We had a lot of fun and a stiff neck🤠

As part of the redesign of the ZOB / Europaplatz in Tübingen, an area of 7,000 square meters was uncovered in spring 2024. This area will initially be planned and then built on in the coming years. For the interim period, bhmplanungsgesellschaft, @umschichten and @stadttuebingen have developed a master plan for a versatile interim use that offers a wide range of possible uses for appropriation and participation. We added creative accents with various floor paintings, which are spread across the entire square. An asymmetrical crosswalk shows the quickest route to the Tübingen train station, while a basketball and badminton court with geometric patterns invites people to get active. Various colored dots and areas also mark places to linger and relax. The temporary plan includes a stage for concerts and events, several play and sports fields, seating and recreational areas, a climbing course, an outdoor gallery and the lookout created in 2021. In addition, two large planted incisions were integrated into the asphalted area by @heim.gmbh and a hop grove was installed to improve the quality of stay, especially in the summer months. This creative and functional approach to the interim use of Europaplatz creates space for activities and encounters and also increases the attractiveness and quality of life of the public space. Project concept: BHM Planungsgesellschaft, Umschichten and Stadtraumstrategien / Implementation and realization of the overall project: Umschichten, Phil Farmer, Atelier Blattmacher, Studio Vierkant / Trades involved: Heim Grünanlagenbau / Year: 2024

We painted the Lorenzstaffel with 89 different colors. The colorful motif fits into the child-friendly environment to the adjacent children’s playground. At the same time, it offers various interpretations in terms of content. One can see the painting as a kind of digital weather map, which thematizes the rising temperatures in particular and climate change in general. In this way, we would like to draw attention to the fact that the consequences of global warming are massive and diverse and endanger the coexistence and existence of future generations in a place where many children play every day.

For @trumpf.group , we painted two staircases and the walls in the interior of a co-working space. The lines symbolize the networking of the individual areas of the various fields of activity and the connections between the different people. Thank you for the nice indoor project and the smooth project coordination!
