I made a Bungo cake! Bungo (λΆμ΄λΉ΅) is a snack we saw at Costco exactly once before it disappeared forever. For a while I thought it was a childhood snack of Paul's only to later find out they are a contemporary snack engineered specifically for the Korean-American millennial market π. Now that they went extinct I was soooo excited that it was the perfect surprise birthday cake to make. BIG BUNGO is two layers of yellow cake with GyΕ«hi (soft mochi filling) and dark chocolate ganache in the middle, kept moist with swiss meringue buttercream, covered with fondant and hand painted for toastyness. Aaand as I'm selecting emojis I just realized this is a fish cake for a Pisces. πHellπYeaπ
