Framing views at Casa Bell-Lloc.
Spaces are tucked into the slope and open up gradually, ending in wide views toward the horizon. The project uses this sequence to shift from more private, enclosed areas to open living spaces.Project: Casa Bell-LlocArchitecture: @studiosaxe

Gardenia: A Vertical Forest 

While many “green buildings” merely use plants as a facade, Gardenia by Studio Saxe treats vegetation as a structural necessity.
The lateral green wall functions as a living skin for the building. It acts as a primary thermal regulator, cooling the concrete mass and filtering the tropical sun before it ever hits the interior.
By integrating planter boxes into every level, the building has successfully extended the local biodiversity upward. This isn’t just “landscaping”; it’s a functional urban echo-system that invites pollinators and birds back into the built environment.
Gardenia proves that bioclimatic intelligence is the new luxury. It’s a bold statement that vertical density can be synonymous with nature.

“We wanted a home that felt like it had always been there, hugged by the canopy, dancing with the jungle.” – The ClientBefore the new structure took shape, an existing house stood on this land. We carefully dismantled the old structure to clear the way for a more conscious footprint.By surveying and protecting every pre-existing tree, the architecture was forced to adapt to the jungle.
