I’ve never shared this map of Paris in full before even though it was hands-down my favorite to create. Ever. My obvious love for Paris aside, I thrilled in the illustrating of something styled after an antique map.I. Love. Antique. Maps.Also, birds-eye view maps are a total win. Thank you to the couple, Nicole and Stephen, for allowing me to fulfill a dream while designing their invitations, and to @bashplease for bringing me on board for this wedding at the Musée Rodin (did you spot it?) in the magnificent city of Paris..#luxuryinvitations #weddingmap #watercolormap #pariswedding #custominvitations

“Let me tell you about the day I found out my name was basic…” (said the cocktail napkins).Specialty cocktails:The CatherineThe KatherineThe KathrynThe CatherynWhat to do when you discover that there are an abnormal amount of Catherine’s in one area? Throw a party of course!The Catherine’s Brunch, a celebration that pokes fun at itself, is now in its second year. 13 guests invited in year one, 23 in year two. As guests paraded from the ceremony to cocktails, this tent awaited them. Stunning from every angle, green and pink hues set the tone for this black-tie reception — layered silks, a custom dance floor, and floor-to-ceiling draping framing the band in a pale shade of pink. I loved the bold design choices and incredible floral. The Palm Springs location and Indian block prints inspired this design, so I created a motif with a subtle palm tree essence. And, to resolve the issue of being thoroughly unable to find a suitable postage stamp, we created a decorative stamp via @theportlandstampcompany, which drew from the couple’s save the date design. Kara and Tim’s wedding was filled to the brim with absolutely gorgeous flowers and foliage, and that did not stop at their tablescape (look at those gorgeous dishes and linens!). The last thing the menu design needed was more flowers, so I borrowed from the architectural atmosphere of the venue to illustrate a delicate border, and called on @kei.haniyacalligraphy for her beautiful calligraphy to accompany the design and die cut place cards.Hats off to @thedejaureguis for incredible photos!Planning by @alexandrakr#luxuryweddings #weddingmenu #letterpressmenu

Chandrika & Vikas’s invitation suite was a dream to create, as I was able to pull from the rich cultural and visual tapestries of their Indian heritage and their wedding location of Barcelona, and bring it all together in a very colorful way. The main invitation card was letterpress printed in two colors with a blind embossed Ganesh at the top, and finished with a die cut inspired by the shape of the reflecting pool at their wedding venue. We printed the interior of Charlotte & Matthew’s envelopes with a toile that featured special elements within and around Montage Palmetto Bluff, and, of course, their dog Peaches.
