Hello from Fremantle.
I’m Annika, founder and maker behind studio|hau.
I design sculptural jewellery inspired by wildflowers and the built world. Each piece begins here in my studio, shaped by hand from reclaimed precious metals, balancing organic curves with clean, architectural lines.
I grew up between East and West Germany before finding home in Australia. Somewhere along the way, I fell for Bauhaus, Berlin techno, and street style that’s a little rough around the edges.
I care about a lot of things. Probably too many.
Jewellery is how I take a stand, a quiet but deliberate way to express what matters.
Some pieces are understated.
Others carry more edge.
All of them shift how you show up:
grounded, sharper, or ready to be seen.
Made locally from recycled metals.

Back at Kaarakin.
My second private tour, and I learned even more.
Hearing the stories behind the black cockatoos, their rescue, recovery, and everything in between...always stays with me.
It’s a big part of why I started studio|hau the way I did.
3% of every piece goes back to this work.
While Kaarakin works incredibly hard to return every possible patient to the wild, some birds can’t be released due to injury, imprinting, or other human-related circumstances.
The cockatoos in these photos are part of Kaarakin’s education program. Through encounters like these, people are able to connect more deeply with the birds and better understand how fragile and important their survival really is.
Every tour booked helps support Kaarakin’s rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation work. If you ever get the chance, I really recommend doing one.
