From conceptualizing the idea, documenting it with drawings, renderings, construction… to finished and styled!
Great design is a process, that’s for sure. This bar ended up being one of our client’s favorite features in the house. We took a dead space near the kitchen, framed it out differently, and voila! A vibey place to pour a cocktail after playing 18 holes.

Some designers “make selections” but at Studio Gaspo, we design.

I know we’re not supposed to play favorites with our projects… but I just love this primary bathroom SO damn much.
This space used to be a garage, and it got fully reimagined into this luxe primary suite, complete with double vanities, jaw-dropping stone, and handmade terracotta tile.
Funny story, I actually had a different concept ready for this bathroom, and the night before the presentation I threw this together. Joelle was like wait, where did that come from? Haha. The last-minute pivot worked out, and both the client and studio Gaspo have been obsessed with this bathroom ever since. 🔥

A designer actually told her client that measurements were “just a vibe.”
Aaaaand then her rug didn’t fit in her space, and the client had to haul it down the stairs herself. 🥴 THAT’S not a vibe!
It is a true story though, and I’ve heard 47293 others just like it. No one caught those mistakes before it was too late, because nobody was producing the drawings (with the correct measurements!) and paying attention to the details.
Most people don’t know what a full-service designer actually does, and it goes way beyond making a mood board of “pretty selections.”
It’s creating elevations, tile pattern layouts, millwork details, switching plans, ceiling plans… AND being available during the construction phase to make sure your home is actually built like it was designed.

As we start thinking about moving out of our house we’ve been in for 8 years, it makes me super emotional. I LOVE our house. Even 8 years in I haven’t gotten around to maximizing its full potential, and there’s so much more I would have done if we were staying.
My office though? Chefs kiss, 100% done, 100% obsessed. This is probably the room I’ll miss the most. A space just feels different when you’ve put your heart and soul into it, and it reflects you to a T. Getting to exist in this space and feel that every day honestly reminds me why what we do is SO important.
My zoom background will suffer for a while, but I’m excited about the opportunities a new house brings!

We start by taking into account client needs like storage, display space, etc. and then conceptualizing unique design features that will meet those needs. Then we create technical drawings that detail everything out to an insane level, so your builder can actually execute the design.
