The Monster, 2026

For my end of second year show I have collaborated with Iranian photographer and fish and chip shop owner @kaz.hakimi who has photographed over 300 locals coming into his shop. The piece aims to raise awareness of people who have come to this country as a migrant and their valuable contribution to British arts, culture and economy, additionally shining a light on the increase in far-right prejudice towards migrants.
In the portrait I am dressed in a ghillie suit made from ethically sourced far-right newspaper, the Daily Mail. The suit masks the person making them unrecognizable turning them into something monstrous, this directly links to the way migrants are being dehumanized in the press and by extreme right wing groups. On top of this, as far right groups are becoming normalized people have to alter and conceal themselves to navigate the public space safely.

Kick Out the Right, screen printed medium with ash (2025).
I have been inactive these past couple of months, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t stopped making political art. I thought I should make a comeback with the Kick Out the Right piece.
I have ethically sourced the Daily Mail without contributing a single penny to them, by dissecting words straight from the paper I’ve generated sentences that contradict their beliefs and flipped the narrative. Inspired by @pussyriot Putins Ashes I then burnt the Daily Mail and collected the remains, incorporating them into many different pieces transforming the hatred and racism. In the bottom you will find an asterisk revealing what it is made out of.

To be able to walk shoulder to shoulder with so many courageous, vibrant, and resilient individuals was a deeply moving experience. The energy in the air was electric, filled with laughter, chants, music, and unapologetic joy. But beneath the celebration was something even more powerful, solidarity. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
