A little snapshot of the wonderful 2026 BA Fine Art degree show from our Oxford Brookes SoAs students. What a pleasure it has been spending 3 years with this group of fabulous artists. We will miss seeing them and their work everyday. ( Sorry Jess I didn't get a picture of your film but I know that it has been officially photographed! Also huge congratulations on your recognition in @anartistsinfo very well deserved) Visit @hybrid_archive_2026 for some excellent coverage of how they installed their show. The highs, the lows, the grafting, the picnics and above all, just being an excellent team 🥰 @brookesfineart @hybrid_archive_2026 @soartsbrookes

Come and join us for “The Writer’s Process” Zine Fair at the Bodleian Libraries this Saturday, 28 February, from 11 am to 3 pm at the Weston Library. Free entry — just drop in! Meet local zine makers, independent publishers, and our first-year BA Graphic Design students, who will be selling a collection of zines. During the first semester, the students took part in a series of workshops where the primary element was a kitsch object, and the challenge was to generate new ideas and give the object a new purpose and value. Within the Design Process Module students created a series of imaginative and unexpected results through digital and analogue processes. @bodleianlibraries @oxfordbrookes

1st Year Graphic Design monoprinting workshops in 5 seconds.. Well done 1st years, you took to printing CMY semiotic compositions like champs. We spent the morning working on different sized papers and as the paper size increased, exploring the possibilities that negative space and additional printed matter provide. The dust jackets were a quick, fun challenge at the end of the workshop. The students were given a random book with a blank dust jacket. Not knowing the title or subject until they opened the book, they considered the relationship between form, colour and composition again, and re-imagined and printed a new cover for their books. The book's subjects ranged from 'London's Waterways', 'A Guide to Archeology' to 'Evolution' and ' The History of Embroidery'. Again they did a brilliant job 🎉 Looking forward to handing out the Haribo to the large scale group print winners!! Digital Media Production students have been in David's 3D workshop recently because you can't make zombie films without learning the complex process of how to make your own silicone oozing pustules and zombie bite wounds..they just need make up and extra blood and they are ready! #brookesschoolofarts #digitalmediaproduction

1st yr Fine Art practising how to use DSLR cameras and lighting with Technical Specialist Hannah. This is one of their introductory rotations. The 1st year workshops explore what all our different technical areas have to offer, students expand their technical knowledge and capabilities, which in turn builds their visual language, which partnered with their theory tutorials and lectures, is the start of an exciting Fine Art journey. @brookesfineart @soartsbrookes #photography #brookesschoolofarts #fineart
