This is what I am doing today—remastering one of my biggest albums I’ve released: ‘The New Nashville Cats!’. 35 years ago I released this album on Warner Bros, and my solo career in music was born out of Nashville. This record took me from top session player, to solo artist full time. I released the record in 1991, and now 35 years ago I was able to acquire it from WB where I own it outright. A dream of any artist is to own their most important masters. So now this music will remain in my family from now on. Of course the memories come flooding back. I have many stories that I’ll be sharing with you as I release singles off this and work towards the entire remastered album coming out. And it was one expensive album to make. My budget was nearly 200 grand! I don’t have to tell you how much money that’d be today! The remastering here with Dave Harris at Studio B in Charlotte is going fantastic, the music is just leaping out of these speakers. Woooeee! Stay tuned!
