Lighting in the workplace is more than just “500 lux on a desk”! 💡
It was great sharing thoughts at the Workspace Summit part of @workspaceexhibition on how lighting impacts productivity, focus, and well-being.
From choosing the right color temperature to avoiding glare and flicker, good lighting makes a real difference.

Last highlight from a vibrant week in Riyadh ✨💡
I had the pleasure of speaking at the first edition of Downtown Design @downtowndesignd in Riyadh.
I shared the stage in a panel titled “THE NEW NOW: The Region’s Shifting Direction of Contemporary Design” alongside @alhumaidhiarch (an architect) and @urjowan_interiors (interior designer), each of us offered different perspectives, and I contributed from the lighting design point of view.
We covered a range of topics including rethinking luxury, cultural identity vs. minimalism, material choices, and how to create seamless, lasting design.
It was a lively and thoughtful discussion with great questions from the audience.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and to Downtown Design for organizing such a meaningful event.

سعدت بالتحدث في النسخة الأولى من معرض داون تاون ديزاين في الرياض.
شاركت في جلسة حوارية بعنوان “الآن الجديد: التحول في توجهات التصميم المعاصر في المنطقة” إلى جانب عبدالعزيز الحميضي (مهندس معماري) و و أرجوان الشريف (مصممة داخلية)، وكل واحد منا قدم منظور مختلف، وشاركت برؤيتي من خلال تصميم الإضاءة.
تناولنا مواضيع متنوعة مثل إعادة تعريف الفخامة، والتوازن بين الهوية الثقافية والبساطة، واختيار المواد، وكيفية الوصول لتصميم متكامل يدوم مع الزمن.
كانت جلسة مليئة بالأفكار والنقاشات، والأسئلة من الجمهور أضافت عمق رائع للحوار.
شكرًا لكل من حضر، ولـفريق داون تاون ديزاين على تنظيم هذا الحدث المميز.
