Please come check out my work and those of many others celebrating creative practices that are not driven by monetization opening Friday May 8th ✨⛓️💥
Maintain Frame Control: A twopart exhibition at 14BC Gallery featuring 40+ artists working across multiple mediums. The show centers creative practice as a sustained, lived commitment rather than a market driven act based on productivity.
The exhibition invites visitors to slow down, participate, and reflect on the importance of art making at this critical moment in U.S. and world history. Guests are encouraged to come for the art and stay for the conversations and community.

One of the highlights of my summer was getting to work with my friend @a.hobes of @afternoon_editions to collaborate on a series of monoprints. It was my first time working like this and was such an interesting and fun process. Loved how it involved layering, guiding but not controlling the ink, and the element of surprise. Series of 5 monoprints are around 22 x 16 inches each. Thank you Anna for this collaboration- inviting me into your studio and teaching me the process 🌈✨💝

(Untitled) 36 x 40, acrylic paint, fabric dye, thread and wood. Something about this shape is so appealing to me, I come back to it again and again. This piece was constructed from three paintings, and the top is composed of two paintings joined together. I finished it off with a some simple embroidery and a hand painted wooden bar to hang.

(Untitled) Acrylic paint, fabric dye, thread on raw canvas. 52 in x 50 in. With all the recent pain and devastation I continue to be grateful for the privilege I have to make art. My work and process allows me to reflect upon my own journey towards healing and liberation, a dream I have for the rest of my brothers and sisters worldwide ❤️✊🏽✨

An untitled diptych consisting of two paintings 70x48 inches. Acrylic paint on raw canvas and embroidery thread. First the pieces were painted, then they were cut, remixed, sewn together and finished with embroidery thread. Continuing to explore ideas of release and transformation.
