Painting flowers requires a different kind of movement in my wrist to when I paint my figures. It’s like a little dance I’m learning. Not completely loose, but not overly controlled either💃🏾#studioimoflowers
This was the first flower painting I did, just over a month ago, I felt so connected and filled with a serene peace during the process. I objectively cannot see my own “style” across different work, so it was interesting to me when I shared it on my main account, the most common feedback was that they instantly knew this was my work. My name is Ibi also known as @studio_imo_art . I’ve been an artist full time for 2 years after discovering I could paint in my 40s. I’m using this space as a place for my growing collection of flower paintings. I started painting flowers roughly a month ago and find the process deeply comforting. It allows me to access a different headspace. I will likely share some on my main page from time to time. But the organiser in me felt l like they deserved their own place.
