As ❮Poetry of Metal❯ comes to a close, I keep returning to the feeling that this exhibition was never only about metal. It felt closer to a way of living. To walking every morning, observing nature closely, noticing small changes over time, and slowly carrying those moments into a material that endures. And like the fire followers that bloom after devastation, the exhibition also carried a message about continuing on — about resilience, recovery, and the strength to bloom again after hardship. More than objects, it feels as though Studio Foh shared with us a way of seeing and moving through the world with greater attention, care, and gratitude. Thank you @studio_foh and to everyone who spent time with ❮Poetry of Metal❯.🙏

°° 저의 큰 조형과 작은 기물은 언제나 하나의 흐름으로 연결되어 있습니다. 매일의 산책길에서 마주한 숲의 기운이 한 편의 시처럼 일상에 스며들 때, 작은 포크와 받침 하나조차 이미 이전과는 다른 생명력을 지닌 기물임을 믿습니다. 자연의 편린을 담아낸 이 작은 조각들이, 바라보는 눈과 잡은 손 끝에 깊은 평온을 전할 수 있기를 바랍니다 LA에서의 전시가 마지막 한 주를 남겨두고 있습니다 와주신 한분 한분의 걸음에 감사드립니다 There is always a connection between my large-scale works and smaller pieces. When the energy of the forest from my daily walks flows into everyday life like a short poem, I believe even the smallest utensil becomes something more than just an object. ❮Poetry of Metal❯ enters its final week. If you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, I hope you’ll come experience the exhibition in person. Spending time with Studio Foh’s work has made me think more deeply about what gives handmade objects their lasting presence. Her work is not only about form, but about years of walking through forests, paying attention to small things in nature, and slowly translating those experiences into metal. Maybe this is why her work feels warm despite the material itself. What we encounter is not just an object, but a way of seeing and moving through the world. At a time when images and aesthetics move so quickly, this exhibition reminded me that what stays with us is often not only the visible outcome, but the time, care, and lived experience held within it. One of the most memorable things Foh shared during our interview was that freshly cast metal is surprisingly soft and delicate at first — almost like fresh grass. Only after passing through many stages does it gradually become stronger. In a way, it feels similar to nature, and maybe to us too. What is fragile does not remain fragile forever. ❮Poetry of Metal❯ by Studio Foh continues this week. Every morning, the artist begins the day with a walk through the forest surrounding her studio. A small stream runs just outside the door, and the moment she steps outside, the walk begins. Rather than searching for perfect forms, Foh finds herself drawn to dried leaves marked by veins, branches bent by wind, and traces left behind by insects and time. These quiet encounters slowly become part of her work. Through metal, she preserves not only the forms of nature, but also the feeling of having spent time closely observing them. Studio Ko
