This was an early stage proof of concept developed for Charmed labs out of Austin TX. The project brief was to design a remote control car that fits within a cubic inch. Design was based of provided electronics based around the #esp32 architecture.
WK400 Talker stand was a kinetic product display created for @keen developed closely with nextcanary over 2 month. In particular we had to develop the mechanism over about 6 iterations so we could ensure smooth reliable operation before we fabricated the final set of 50 units.
Big project completed with help of many people at PVS Graphics Portland. I was involved in equal parts with design engineering in CAD as well as the electrical design and fabrication of the final set. nextcanary led the engineering and fabrication team.
Trying to sort out a way to keep track of all of the connections for the 20 numeral displays I am wiring. This is present self looking out for my future self just in case I make any wiring mistakes which does tend to happen when you are working with 400+ connections.
Some testing for some custom printed vinyl whiteboards I am developing with my partner Henk Zollenkopf for a local #montessori school. Here I was testing different lamination styles and decided to settle on a a high grade removable one.
Just recently started a project refreshing Portland’s @spiritof77bar custom pop a shot machine. Original build by @telepathytoday . These are just a few shots taken of the original build. Pretty impressed with the amount of work that went into it, but it needs a little love and some refurbishments to the electronics hardware. Will be posting about the progress as the rebuild progresses.
Making of my miniature keychain calipers, this was just a little branded giveaway I made for this company. They are surprisingly useful and fairy accurate. I embedded magnets in them so they stay closed when on a keychain. Actually a bit involved to make magnets are glued and placed then the whole assembly is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol to remove glue residue from the plate. #3dprintingkeychains #fidgettoys #3dprintedmeasuringdevices
For ‘Dymphna’ (2021-2022)a rave series I was a part of in Portland, OR I designed and assembled a custom scaffolding stage sculpture/ DJ booth as well as a custom mounted rotator for disco ball to be mounted and powered off of the warehouse crane. Over all Scenography and setup was a group effort with most of my personal effort being directed towards the stage and overall lighting of the space. Mollie, Ryan, James, and Logan were all core parts of the Dymphna crew that made this and later events possible.
On the subject of RGB LED setup… this was older approach I used for convention booths. I found that if you don’t need dynamic LED and just need a few colors this eliminated the headache keeping track of controllers and remembering color setting. The RGB controllers have a readout so you just write some notes on what color each needs to be set to before the show. #customled #conventionboothdesign #rgbled
Welded sign brackets I fabricated and welded while working at PVS Graphics Portland. Getting the steel angle coped to fit the sign was tricky! #pvsgraphics #pinestatebiscuits #signmaking
Custom bar underlighting for the Pharmacy permanent bar at the @portlandnightmarket building. This was the most recent addition to an ongoing project. All of the lighting in the bar including about 600 ft of RGBW LED strip lighting across 8 controlled zones as well as the custom 11ft shelf and the acrylic light boxes were built by me. #ledinstallation #customled
