It's almost time for @chorlton.arts !!!! Last year we were packed to the rafters (logs) and it was a blast, and we're pleased to have y'all back again this year!
We're hosting 2 artists over the opening weekend! Pop by and see the ceramic work of @amck_art on Friday May 8th 11-5 and back again this year, the work of the wonderful @sarah3pink on May 9th 10-4.
Following on from that, we're having a bit of a party to celebrate all of the amazing makers whose work we sell in the shop. Pop down, grab a drink, pizza and shop till ya drop from 12-6 on May 16th. With the usual suspects:

*Please note, spoon club is an open event, but note that we ask that you have at least carved a spoon before and have safe tool practice (and you own tools) thanks!

The garden is starting to come alive, Hawthorne is blooming, I've put in a pond, the flowers are starting to peek open and a family of house sparrows have started to visit daily.

Forks and stands in Cherry and Oak headed out to @portfolio.mcr@julian_pizer
Thanks to @rebeccamorrisceramics and her new endeavour @asanka.uk which is helping connect makers with chefs to pair the best of craft with the best of food.
Hand carved cherry forks which are then oxidized using iron acetate and a tanning solution, lathe turned oak plinths which are scorched and oxidized to add texture and depth of colour. A really fun pairing that will be part of @julian_pizer new tasting menu. Yum!

Turning Tip Tuesday!
When I flip over bowls blanks to remove the tenon, I use this wooden cap on the live centre (right side) this allows me to make small adjustments while centering the piece. The left side has a chuck that the bowl fits around or sits on.
Hope that might help somebody somewhere ✌🏼.
Also, this shape is fast becoming a favourite. Prepare to see more of it 🐸.
