They say it takes a village to raise a child, but I’ve learned in 2025 that it takes a resilient, dedicated ecosystem to sustain an artist. Despite the shakiness of the current art market, I am still here, doing what I love, because of the awesome people surrounding me. I am incredibly thankful to my wonderful gallery @vinylonvinyl the whole team —having partners who truly understand and champion my vision is rare and vital. To the collectors, both locally and abroad, thank you for bringing my work into your lives and believing in its value. And to my amazing circle of artist friends: thank you for the camaraderie, the shared opportunities, and the unwavering support when things get tough. Thank you for being my “village” this year. We spend so much of our lives racing against the clock, checking off destinations, and rushing toward whats “next” . Finally found a window in my sched to visit Subic and catch up with @gianvoyage.travels at his coffee shops. Even for a short trip, the energy there is something else—it feels like a tight-knit community where everyone genuinely knows and supports each other. And it’s an incredible feeling to step into a new place and realize you don’t feel like a stranger there. ​I jokingly told Gian that the real "celebrities" in this town are the entrepreneurs, creatives, artists and business owners. Everyone is doing big things, yet they're some of the most down-to-earth people I’ve met. ​I also got to leave a little something at the front of @highpeakroastery too—a mural featuring Bitto and Mojo. Looking forward to heading back soon to help out with Gian’s plans for the local art and tourism. See you again soon, Subic!

Intro: 5 years of Bitto This was my first gallery show as Bitto in @vinylonvinyl and the title was a beautiful irony. The show was about reaching a finish line, but it was actually the first page of a much longer story for me. That “ending” was the beginning of everything for Studio Bitto. Looking back, the biggest lesson hasn’t been about how much I can produce, but how I can sustain my art practice while staying human. I’ve spent these last five years learning that productivity doesn’t always have to look like a rush. Sometimes, the most meaningful work happens when we give ourselves the space to breathe. To everyone who has walked this path with me—collectors, friends, and fellow travelers—your support is the reason I can choose this slower, more intentional life. You’ve given me the greatest gift an artist can have: the time to be human. Here’s to the next five. More places to see, more hands to shake, and more stories to tell—all in good time.
