Photography time!!
Every year, around this time I have a small selection of pots, representative of my current work, photographed by Stephen Lenthall of @studio_article . This created a valuable catalogue of my work over time; I’ve been using Article Studios now since 2018. The photographs are also used in my application for shows and events and generally in marketing materials. I just cannot emphasise the multiplier effect it has had for me to engage ‘Lenny’ in this enduring engagement. Now just the wait for the post processing of the images before I can share a few of them.

It’s World Bee Day! Here’s an image I shot of a celebratory gift bundle from the good folks at @blackbeehoneycompany and @seedbom . The beautifull meadow blooms were lovingly nurtured by @woodsidelaneflowers .

Baton #2 50x30x30cm
Not the most exciting name for this cylinder of woven Krokbragd, but the title represents the tradition of patterns and weaving skills being passed on from one generation to the next. Like a baton being passed in a relay race…only not so fast🤪
The piece is on display at @thelmahulbertgallery as part of A Visible Thread with @seam_collective until August 31st.

I'm fascinated by basket weaving - is there a craft that is closer to nature? There's minimal process to prepare the raw materials and the hands do so much work, yet the results have an almost mathematical precision to their patterns and shapes whilst retaining the human touch.

Stripes! colour! It can only be the wonderful work of @angieparkertextiles ! Shot in the studio, keeping it simple with a little propping for scale, but mostly letting those colours and patterns do the talking.

I know I say this often, but you can’t underestimate the value of a nice, crisp product image for your website. These were shot late last year for the brilliant @sarah.corbettwinder ‘s @kipper.club . They look great here on their original white background but have been used as a great graphic tool on strong stripes on their website. Love ‘em!
