Berninneit (meaning Gather Together) - is a purpose-built public building designed to support a range of uses including a theatre, library, gallery, museum, community function rooms and offices. Bringing together the cultural and social aspirations of the community, the building creates a dynamic and interactive destination drawing in visitors to showcase the region’s rich history and culture.
Utilising minimal materials, a considered font family and a bespoke icon set, our geometric and modular signage suite creates a clear and high impact wayfinding system that complement the architecture and interiors designed by JCB Architects.
Working as part of an integrated team, Latitude’s design thinking heightened the intuitive understanding of the space, and helped develop coherence across all aspects of the visitor experience.
JCB Architects’ thoughtful design has been recognised in receiving the AlA Victorian Architecture Awards-The William Wardell Award for Public Architecture; and the Australian Interior Design Awards - Public Design.
