We are thrilled to announce that our new project O’Hara has been published in
@archdigest ’s
@getclever magazine.
Project O’Hara transformed a 120-year-old Victorian Toronto home. Our clients initially reached out to us for a “cheap and cheerful” kitchen remodel. After beginning the design, their house caught fire, causing severe damage and halting the project.
Months later, we resumed work, initially focusing on kitchen millwork. This quickly expanded into a comprehensive restoration involving flooring, tile, bathrooms, paint, furniture, fixtures and lighting.
The project was further complicated by a budget set by the insurance company, which often fell below market values, leading to prolonged negotiations and delays.
To keep the costs down, we sourced much of the appliances and furnishings on secondhand platforms like Kijiji and Marketplace.
Despite the challenges faced, this project is one of our favourites to date, and we are elated to have it inspire others through AD’s Clever feature.
