Sharing the gallery @rancholindavistaarts for the yearly @oracleazartists studio tour… an honor to show some pieces alongside some of the Rancho Linda Vista elders who have been paving the way. The tour is happening all weekend and I’ll have some of our @oracleferments kombucha and sourdough bread available for snacking. Swing by.

Meet our next lovely vendor, Studio Bolt! With works that tell a story, it’s no surprise to hear about Tina’s long journey with hand-dyed textiles. She’s no stranger to textiles, having worked with them for over a decade, but her connection to natural dyes actually began on a farm in Argentina! Tina grew up overseas, surrounded by richly dyed textiles, but it wasn’t until she accidentally stained her hands harvesting pecans that she fully recognized the depth and beauty of natural dyeing. This transformative moment sparked a lasting curiosity and practice that she’s still eager to explore today🫐 Since then, Tina has committed to studying and experimenting with natural dyes, often pairing them with vintage and upcycled fabrics. We love the thread of sustainability woven throughout her practice, almost as much as we love how totally unique each of her creations is! Her works are a collaboration between herself, the plant, and the season, guided by the nuanced relationship between human touch and the irreplicable natural colors in her palette. We’re delighted to have Tina with us - it’s hard to say what we like more, her inspired creations or her infectiously positive attitude! Meet ray-of-sunshine Tina and the rest of our awesome makers at Desert Air Market on March 7th from 11am to 5pm! #tucson #tucsonevents #tucsonmarket #tucsonarizona #tucsonlocal #tucsonmade #tucsonmaker #tucsonaz #tucsonlove #naturaldyes #textiles

Desert Air Market is one of those pop up markets that just feels right. Local creators, good energy, and a crowd that actually loves being there. I’m sharing a little video throwback from the last one which was held at Hop Shop for the first time and honestly it set the bar. Walk the market, take your time, then stay for a drink after. You really can’t beat that combo. Two of my personal standouts were @byndbooks and @studio.bolt . The next market is coming up on March 7th and it’s back at Hop Shop again, which makes planning ahead even easier. If you’re building a trip around experiences instead of just places, this one is worth saving. Save this for your next Tucson visit, follow @desertairmarket , and keep an eye out for my favorite vendors when you go.
