Personalia, Series 2026
Flat-bed scanner stills
We are undoubtedly, and in a serious sense, a collection of our memories, many of which rest in our subconscious, supported by objects and keepsakes that also end up becoming part of us and our journey. That’s what this series of flat-bed scans is about: I wanted to explore the things around my studio that I felt told my story and contributed to who I am today, both in good and bad ways.
I began digging through my empty wine box full of memories stained by time and slowly remembered going to buy pens around Bogotá with my grandmother, with whom I slowly built a collection. I found my old sunglasses, which I was obsessed with for years, maybe because of their masking and creative powers respectively. Ever since I can remember, I have collected them.
My love for cameras and images , a passion I’m sure I’ll die with , came much later. First, my obsessions with aviator sunglasses and Lamy writing devices defined me. The airfare ticket from my first ever solo trip to Havana, alongside a 120mm camera similar to those used by my grandfather, and the calligraphy pen in the first photo, are good examples of what sparked my love for travel which has taken me to more than 30 countries and for the hundreds of thousands of moments that I’ve captured.
The past irrefutably makes itself into the present, either through nostalgia or pain, but there no matter what. In a way, it is also my past sandwiched between the scanner glass and lid, which I permanently find myself having to own up to, understand, and perhaps redefine or reimagine with the help of my beloved images. Thanks for being part of this visual journey!

Took this great dive yesterday at the @museoatlantico with @divecollegelanzarote and could do my first underwater art documentation photography project. It was very interesting to see the beautiful works of @jasondecairestaylor with his deep messages on conservation, immigration , abuse of power and the circle of life. Many interesting and overlaying symbolisms worth exploring in today‘s current climate and also an unforgettable moment of reflection and conexion .
