The documentary offers a firsthand perspective on the journey from participant to Peer Mentor, showing how these programs help young people create new paths and rebuild their futures.

The Philadelphia Distance Run Half Marathon & 5K was officially voted the Best Half Marathon in Pennsylvania for 2026 by Race Raves!
To everyone who voted, ran with us, cheered on Kelly Drive, volunteered, high-fived strangers, rang cowbells, and made race so special year after year: thank you. This one belongs to all of you.

One of the best parts of @ibxrun10 weekend happens before the race even begins. Over 500 students, mentors, charity runners, families, and supporters all in one room cheering each other on💙💚
Mornings like this come together because of people who continue to show up for this community. Thank you to @independencebluecross for sponsoring this year’s brunch and sending over a fantastic group of volunteers, @salarmyphilly for opening their doors and hosting us again, and all of the volunteers and community members who helped make the morning happen.
By the time runners hit Mile 7, they knew exactly where SRPS was. Broad & Washington turned into one giant cheer zone on Sunday, filled with families, mentors, and supporters showing up loud for our runners.
For a lot of our runners, this became a pivotal moment in the race, knowing there’s a place on the course where the entire community is waiting for them, hearing their names, spotting familiar faces, and getting that extra motivation they needed to keep pushing through the final miles.

For 20 years, Students Run Philly Style has participated in the Philadelphia Bar Association’s annual 5K Run/Walk, and we’re thrilled to continue empowering young people through running as the event welcomes @anchorsfoundation Foundation as its new charity partner.
Anchors, an Inperium Foundation, is a cancer support organization that directly serves patients and caregivers and contributes to ovarian cancer research. The organization was started to honor the legacy of Carol Camp, a devoted educator and mentor for over 20 years who passed of ovarian cancer in 2019.
Carol’s passion for supporting youth is perfectly aligned with the mission of Students Run Philly Style, and we’re proud that over 600 students will run the race this year on Sunday, May 17 in Fairmount Park.

We are proud to partner with Students Run Philly Style, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through the power of mentorship and running.
Home Office employees volunteered to help the SRPS runners customize their sneakers with laces and beads and decorate their race shirts with decals ahead of them participating in the Philadelphia Broad Street Run. The SRPS students came back to run along our river-front campus with employees as a final training session ahead of the race.
Last weekend, over 1,000 SRPS runners completed the Broad Street Run, a fantastic accomplishment! Congratulations to all the runners; we are so proud to be a part of your journey! 🏃👟

Everywhere you looked, it was blue shirts! Students reaching new accomplishments, mentors pacing alongside them. With over 1,000+ finishers we're proud to be the largest group in the largest 10 mile race in the country.
And behind it, the 140 charity runners who raised over $110,000 to help make this all possible. That’s what this weekend was, this community, showing up.
