LEGO Smart Bricks already blew our minds 🤯. But what happens when you add AR glasses?
@stspanho and I built a POC on Snap Spectacles where Gemini sees any LEGO creation you make, generates a unique sound, and lets you grab it with your hands.
Shake a plane, hear engines. Wave a dragon, it roars. Every build, every time, completely different.
Now imagine combining both: Smart Play's physical sensors inside the bricks + AR + generative AI around them. A LEGO city that reacts from the inside and comes alive through your glasses.
That’s not sci-fi. All the pieces exist today. We just played with them.

Will 2026 be the year of XR & AI-powered wearable glasses? 😎
I think so! I recently created a proof of concept at @inthepocket : a tailor-made city tour through Ghent, powered by the Meta Wearable SDK and connected to real-time AI (Gemini Flash).
The AI:
- Uses only curated landmark content I've provided
- Knows your exact location
- Sees what you're looking at via vision capabilities
- Decides when to show more info on your phone via tool calling, all hands-free
As you walk around, hotspots trigger automatically. Approaching a landmark? The AI already knows, and enriches your experience on the go.
I’m super excited about how wearable glasses are evolving 🚀

Inspired by hybrid images, I wanted to experiment with a similar concept using 3D Gaussian Splats. Up close, it might leave you puzzled... but zoom out, and the ☃️ appears. Generated with @theworldlabs
I built this PoC using a single 2D broadcast video: applied pitch detection, player positioning, and movement tracking to reconstruct the play in 3D and map it onto a real basketball court in XR.
You can walk through the scene, pause it, analyse movement, see shot markers, select players, and view stats.
The play: @julieallemand ’s three-pointer in the Eurobasket final (Spain vs. Belgium).
Built with React Three Fiber + WebXR.

At UnitedXR we recently tested our lens Fruit Defense with up to six people on Spectacles. Huge thanks to the Snap team for lending us that many devices. The session really showed how fun and natural social multiplayer AR can be on Spectacles.
What really struck us was how effortless the setup felt, exactly as Daniel Wagner explained in his talk at Lens Fest. With Eye Connect, all you have to do is look at each other to start a shared session. No scanning, no alignment steps, just instant sync and play.
Seeing this simplicity in action made it clear how much potential there is for seamless, social AR experiences on Spectacles. Exciting times ahead for multiplayer XR. 🚀

We made a thing and we’re SO hyped! 🍎🔥
Fruit Defense is finally out - AR game for Spectacles!
Put a real apple on your table and defend it from waves of alien worms by squishing them with your hands
What we packed in: 🤖 Custom ML model we trained to detect apples & bananas in real time ✋ Hand tracking - physically smash the worms 👥 Multiplayer co-op - grab friends and defend together 🌊 3 waves with increasing difficulty 🔥 Combo system - chain kills for bonus points 🎵 Full audio with adaptive music
Months of work, countless calls, and so much fun. Super proud of what we created ✨
Go try it and tell us your high score! #Spectacles #AR #AugmentedReality #LensStudio #GameDev #MachineLearning #HandTracking
We built an AI-powered storytelling game for Snap @spectacles AR glasses at Lens Fest 2025. Players join as marshmallow avatars around a virtual campfire, take turns telling stories, and watch as AI generates artwork based on what they say — all in real-time multiplayer AR.
Built with Snap Cloud and @supabasecom . Took 3rd place at the Lensathon.

What if you could apply real-time AI video to your XR scene? That’s what I tried!
The first prompt was "Modern, Ikea style room", the second "Industrial loft style". To avoid dizziness, it syncs only past a threshold. So artifacts appear. Built with @decart.ai and R3F XR #threejs
Sharing some incredible work from Stijin Spanhove who took the classic Portal Lens to the next level with @GoogleGemini to perform real-time, generative transformations of your environment.
Which timeline are you travelling to first?
🕹️ Turning drawings into XR worlds you can play in.
I built a POC for @spectacles that turns imagination into reality.
My niece drew a picture and with the help of Mirage 2 (a general-purpose world model that can generate an unprecedented diversity of interactive environments in real-time), I brought it to life in an interactive environment.
The pipeline:
☑️ The drawing is automatically segmented and sent to the world model
☑️ Frames are streamed in real-time via WebSockets
☑️ With a Bluetooth controller you can walk, run, jump, and move the camera inside the generated world
It’s a glimpse of how world models can transform creativity into immersive experiences.

Last year I wanted to explore if it's possible to watch cycling in AR (Quest 3 and AVP). Tried it with the Ronde Van Vlaanderen but was not able to gather enough data. With the Tour De France I was able to create this POC. Would you use it?
