It's hard to say why, exactly, but this somehow feels like exactly what I should be aspiring to as a wedding photographer.

There were hiccups running up to the wedding (my presence was the result of one!) and on the day, but nothing could stop Chloe & Callum from grinning at each other pretty much the whole day.

Lovely photos of lovely couples are lovely, BUUUUUUT...
This is the photo that gets most attention when I'm at wedding fayres. And it probably sums up my ethos pretty well: Let the real fun happen; capture the good stuff; don't just focus on the couple the whole time.

First wedding of the year for me on Friday and it was a lovely wee intimate wedding at Elgin Registry Office, followeed by drinks, speeches and food at the Sunninghill Hotel. AND the groom was my former manager from back when we both worked in a trendy wee craft beer bar. E & C seem to just constantly make each other laugh and it was a huge pleasure to get a wee insight into just how good the two of them are together 🥰

Just as a change from me posting pictures I took of couples... here's one that a couple took of me. And them.
Just look. Look at the joy on my face. That could be you, you know, making my day by taking a wedding selfie with me. It'd be like rescuing a shelter puppy, you absolute saints!
Ellie & Jonny's wedding was one of the most wonderfully chilled and casual weddings I've had the pleasure of documenting, and it was only a few minutes' up the road from me, at #inchberry Hall! A lovely wee intimate ceremony in the hall, with the ever-delightful @humanist.celebrant.janet telling their story, a quick wander into the woods before the light faded, then an onslaught of evening guests and party-times. So much of this wedding was wonderfully down-to-earth and DIY, but I have to give massive props to @qismatstreetfood and @reynoldscocktails for amazing food and drink (I speak from experience) and @mactamusic for bringing the party as always 🎉

Molly & Oliver deserved a really special celebration and it's exactly what they got. I'm so chuffed that they invited me to be a part of their day and I'm not even sorry for sounding like pervert in the bushes at their couple's sesh ♨️ <-[that's steam. btw]
