I’m vampire-young & wise enough to say this now…
I’ve spent my years here posting tours and playing…but the only thing that has sustained me is song.
The fragments of my life scattered across voicenotes, scratched out words are all I really care about here…nothing else feels as lasting…I’ve never spoken on it as these fragments feel too precious to be hurled into algorithmic chatter.
You hang your heart on your songs, for better or worse. But you have to mean it.
You do it like your heart depends on it.
So the song at hand felt important.
I’ve long had a fascination with trying to unearth songs that seem to have existed before me, buried, lost, undiscovered whatever…trying to hit the seam…digging for lost scripture.
I feel we hit on something here. I care about it. I’m wanted you to know. I know it’s taken on a meaning for others out there ❤️
