When David pitched a bucket-list hike to Machu Picchu, Bob said yes on the spot, his recent heart attack perhaps making the idea feel more urgent than crazy. What follows is a weeks-long, high-altitude journey along one of the world's most grueling trails, scored by gorgeous Andean scenery, fueled by coca leaves and the kind of humor only these two could generate. American Gladiators is back! The legendary franchise hits harder than ever in a new 10-episode drop on Prime Video. We mixed the audio for the series, enhancing the audience's journey as they watch 24 contenders take on 16 Gladiators in a variety of classic Gladiators events. This project kept it fun for our team— every collision, every crowd roar, every Eliminator finish. It's as big as you remember. Watch all ten episodes now on Prime Video.

In this recent footage from 'Kara Swisher Wants to Live Forever', Kara steps out of her comfort zone at a New York City dance party. She talks to the CEO & Cofounder of Daybreaker, who claims this is the formula to curing the global health crisis of loneliness. As you can gather from this rave clip, mixing this series for CNN gave Randy Matuszewski plenty of material to work with. Matuszewski, a 2026 News & Documentary Emmy nominee, used the latest advances in machine learning noise reduction and speech re-synthesis on a wide range of production audio for the series, including difficult settings like the club. Exciting news! @Netflix ’s sitcom 'Tires' from comedian Shane Gillis will return for a third season in August 13, 2026. We've enjoyed all of our time working across the 'Tires' universe from previous seasons to the NFL Gameday spot we worked on last fall. Can't wait to share more from Season 3, soon.

Childhood cancer doesn’t end when treatment does. @stringandcan was honored to work on the latest from @cookies4kids . Randy Matuszewski handled the audio mix for their new campaign, in which children and families share the reality of living with the long-term side effects of childhood cancer and the challenges that can last for years or even a lifetime after treatment ends. A timely week for this new project to drop— '4X20: Quick Hits' is a new anthology series highlighting cannabis and the people who love it. Executive produced by Jimmy Kimmel, the series is made up of four, twenty-minute films, each by a dope director in celebration of what is arguably the world’s most beloved plant. Brian Bracken, Lou Teti and Randy Matuszewski did the mix for us for this series. Stream em if you got em, now on @hulu

The trailer for 'Kara Swisher Wants to Live Forever' is the first look at the legendary journalist's new series for @cnn that we provided the sound edit and mix for. The series follows Swisher on a journey into the rapidly expanding world of longevity science and humanity's quest to cheat death. String & Can's Randy Matuszewski managed this edit for us; watch his work this Saturday at 9pm EST when episode two airs or stream it the next day on the CNN app.

2026 News & Documentary Emmy Nominee— Outstanding Sound: Documentary We Want the Funk! Independent Lens @pbs [ @firelightfilms ] WE WANT THE FUNK! is a syncopated voyage through the history of funk music, spanning from African, soul, and early jazz roots, to its rise into the public consciousness. Featuring James Brown's dynamism, the extraterrestrial funk of George Clinton's Parliament Funkadelic, transformed girl group Labelle, and Fela Kuti's Afrobeat, the story also traces funk's influences on both new wave and hip-hop. Stream the documentary now on PBS and watch this space for more from the upcoming awards this May.

String & Can did the sound for 'Critical Condition: Health in Black America' which has been nominated in both the @peabodyawards and in the category of Outstanding Science and Technology Documentary in the News & Documentary @emmysnatas Awards. We're proud to have contributed to this outstanding production. In the documentary (a NOVA Production by Firelight Films for GBH), filmmaker Stanley Nelson explores the historical and environmental factors contributing to significant health disparities faced by Black Americans, who suffer from higher rates of conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. The film critiques persistent myths in medical science and highlights the effects of systemic racism on health outcomes, while also promoting discourse and solutions through a robust outreach campaign aimed at educating communities and healthcare institutions about these pressing issues.
