The next instalment of The Chill Out Tent mix series has just landed over on @applemusic - This one was first imagined by @strictlypoolside for a night we co-hosted at @thesociallondon called The Acid House, when we realised that dropping heavy acid bangers early on wasn’t the right vibe. Instead, we set out to create something subtler that still carried the acid spirit, starting as a two-hour audio-visual piece and later evolving at @wearelove_festival it weaves ambient echoes and textures into an acid daydream that feels reminiscent of simpler times — enjoy your trip to Acid Beach.
It was striking to see the drudge of people arriving and no-one else escaping.. always try to swim upstream if you can.. it’s usually more interesting IMHO

A long time ago, before the internet, we had @thefacemagazine to keep us informed of all things cultural, tricky while residing in the wasteland of 80s middle England. Fascinating to read more about the ethos of @nicklogan when he started it, and the deliberate focus on images as much as journalism. It’s often said that we never know at the time that history is being made, looking back at this retrospective it was really obvious. Go and see Culture Shift at @nationalportraitgallery - for me it was a delightful walk down a road populated by old friends and collaborators - @elaine_constantine@nancy_rohde@pictures_i_never_took@adam_howe_stylist #donaldmilne @felixhoward #andreagiacobbe - If you are in London you should go and feast your eyes on what was a genuinely groundbreaking collective of people making some extraordinary art. Well done to everyone involved in pulling together this exhibition, and forever grateful to have worked with some of you, on some pieces that made the cut X
