We lost this little fella today. The handsomest rescue cat you ever saw, as graceful as a young lion. Survived a life-threatening operation as a kitten (becoming the pride of the local veterinary clinic who performed the operation), lived with leukaemia, until an unrelated cancer brought him down, just three years old. RIP Babyblue 💔
The Face: Culture Shift at the NPG has been such a big part of my life in last three months and now I’m a little sad it’s ending. Two more days and it’s over. Flew from my home in Portugal for the opening and back near the end to film after closing time for a documentary. I thank Lee and Norbert for making it happen - six years since they pitched it to me and Max over lunch in Hoxton - and for their brilliant co-curation with Sabina of the NPG. Thanks also to the wider NPG team and all who have visited. I’ve heard and read some great anecdotes. Face readers unquestionably are the best of us. I’m truly touched.
