A major milestone for us 🎉
We are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Commission for Almajiri and Out of School Children Education (NCAOOSCE).
This partnership is an important step in strengthening efforts toward inclusive education, especially for Almajiri and out-of-school children across Nigeria.
Aligning with an institution like the National Commission for Almajiri and Out of School Children Education reinforces a shared vision for impact, collaboration, and sustainable change.
We’re excited for what lies ahead.

Happy International Women’s Day! 💜
Today we celebrate the courage, determination, and achievements of women and girls around the world. Every day, women in the communities we serve are breaking barriers, supporting their families, and championing education for the next generation.
At Street Child, we believe that when girls are given the chance to learn, dream, and lead, entire communities are transformed.
Let’s continue working together to create a world where every girl can reach her full potential. 🌍✨

Street Child of Nigeria has trained caseworkers in child protection, case management, disability inclusion and diversity, and counselling as part of the Education For Every Child Today (EFECT) project in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Participants from Borno and Yobe States gained practical skills on identifying disabilities, addressing barriers to inclusion, and creating accessible, child-friendly spaces that build resilience, promote well-being, and provide safe avenues for counselling and referral of vulnerable children.
This initiative, delivered in partnership with @educationaboveall_eaa Education Above All’s Educate A Child programme and support from the Qatar Fund for Development, is part of EFECT’s mission to break down barriers to and secure access to quality primary education for 96,000 children across Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.

Street Child of Nigeria held a Family Business Scheme training for community-based livelihood case workers from our partner organisations to build their skills to support vulnerable caregivers of out-of-school children in starting and sustaining small businesses.
The training prepared case workers to guide caregivers on choosing suitable businesses, planning and managing them effectively, and keeping accurate financial records. Case workers also learned how to teach in a respectful, culturally appropriate way, using local languages to ensure deep understanding and active participation.
This initiative is part of our efforts to help families handle the associated costs of their child’s education. Implemented in partnership with @educationaboveall_eaa the Education Above All Foundation and support from Qatar Fund for Development, it supports the Education For Every Child Today (EFECT) project’s mission to break down barriers and ensure access to and retention in quality primary education for 96,000 children across Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.

Today, as the world marks the International Day to Protect Education from Attack under the theme “Challenging Narratives, Reshaping Action”, Street Child of Nigeria, in partnership with key stakeholders, led an advocacy walk in Yola, Adamawa State, urging the government to strengthen efforts to safeguard schools.
At Street Child, our mission is clear: to ensure that every child is safe in school and learning. Education should never be disrupted by conflict, violence, or fear — it must remain a safe space where children can dream, grow, and thrive.
This year’s theme is a call to go beyond words to act decisively, reshape systems, and protect the right of every child to learn in safety. Together, we can safeguard schools and secure a brighter future for all children.
