Starting a new TNR project. It is endless but we keep showing up. A feeder contacted me about the exploding population of cats on her block. @cresscats and I managed to trap 12 last night and by some miracle, 10 are getting fixed and vaccinated today! Thanks to @ridgewoodrescue for helping with appointments!!! Thanks @debbienageshar for helping!
I know everybody is at their limit, but if you ever considered fostering or adopting please do it now! Spring and summer are the busiest times for cat rescue. Let’s make #hotcatfostersummer a thing. The beach is not going anywhere I promise ❤️🔥

Meet Amelia. A very sweet girl who was found today crying on a street corner in queens. She for sure came from indoors. I asked the vet to scan her for a microchip but I’m not hopeful.
Sadly a lot of cats outside and not lost but abandoned. It’s heartbreaking but she has won the lottery and we are all going to find her new home asap!!! Right?!?!

Update! Earl my sweetheart has found his family!!! He is obviously settling in very well, considering these photos are only a couple hours after he arrived. He deserves the best life and he has found the best adopters. Thank you to @nycpet for hosting the adoption event where we met and thank you to @foranimalsinc for being amazing. Please shop local and consider donating this giving Tuesday. ;) And thank you to everyone on here. Cat rescue can be exhausting but then you meet a cat like Earl and it’s all worth it. ;)

Trumpet 🎺 is still looking for a foster home. He is the sweetest boy and steadily recovering from his terrible upper respiratory infection. Currently he is getting oral antibiotics twice a day and so a foster experienced with medicating cats would be ideal. He is surprisingly cooperative. Please share. I know the right person out there.

Meet Trumpet! I trapped him without realizing what a gigantic heartbreaker he is. He was suffering from a bad cold so I decided to hold onto him while the antibiotics had a chance to work. That’s when he revealed himself to be a true love bug who is definitely ready for a forever home. Please please share this he needs a home ASAP. He is a wonderful boy, we need to fight for him to find a happy ever after.
The vet looked at his teeth and estimated he is about 2 years old. He is fixed and vaccinated. He is FIV and FELV negative. He had an antibiotic injection that is already working on his upper respiratory infection. He is a skinny boy probably because he couldn’t smell food to find it on the street. :( He needs to get fattened up but that will happen in time. I’m sure his glow-up will be marvelous.
This poor girl, who I am calling Alice, is in bad shape. She has a broken jaw and no place to go. She has a vet appointment in a few days but needs to recover inside for a month. Please if you have ever considered helping this is the time. I can provide supplies and I will take care of the vet stuff. If she turns out to be friendly I have some leads about placement, but she really needs a temporary foster like tomorrow (Saturday).
These guys are still waiting for a foster. They are hanging out in a rescue friend’s garage. Nobody to hang with them :( soooooooo bored. Kitten this age are an absolute treat and it doesn’t get any easier than also having a super friendly mom who will co-parent with you.

I seriously need to line-up a foster to take these kittens. At this stage they will stay in an XXL dog crate, which I will deliver to you with kittens and supplies. They will take a couple days to decompress and then you just need to hang out with them and show them how fun humans can be. Yes it takes some time and effort, but it is also very rewarding to know that you helped save a kitten from life on the street.
This is the most grassroots of grassroots community service. Plus! If you decide to adopt them, I don’t ask for any adoption fee. So if you have been wanting to adopt but can’t afford adoption fees this is a great way to sneak in. Mind you—adoption fees are totally legit, I just don’t charge people because I’m only ever dealing with one or two cats and I don’t mind covering the costs personally.
