Watching “The Celebration” hit the screen at Horrorwood Film Fest @columbus_horror_con for a packed crowd of die hard horror fans, programmers, iconic guests, and industry insiders was an unreal experience. The energy in that room from start to finish on Saturday and Sunday was truly surreal and so rewarding 🤡🩸🐻 The response, the reactions, the conversations… it was absolutely incredible 🍿 Being part of such a strong lineup of films was an honor. “The Celebration” was nominated for Best Horror Short and I was nominated for Best Director, and being in that conversation among such a great group of films means everything 🤗 To everyone who came up to talk about the film, take photos, do interviews, and show love, thank you. Feeling that energy in the room throughout the screening, along with such a fantastic audience response, Q&A, and sharing it with a crowd close to home is something I will never forget 🤡🐻 On top of that incredible energy and audience response, I’m incredibly honored and grateful that “The Celebration” took home Best Horror Short (Outstanding Achievement Award) among such an amazing group of films.
