Senior Walk and Talk Club — every other Wednesday Lovely big group today walking around the neighbourhood with our SCPC volunteers, SWTC allows seniors to make connections, spend time in their neighbourhood and engage in the community regularly. This is important and part of our crime prevention strategy. A neighbourhood that cares for each other and watches out for another, is a safer one.

Recently, highly realistic counterfeit bills have been circulating the neighbourhood, If you believe you’ve been given a fake note, first assess the situation to keep yourself safe + Be courteous. The person may not be aware of their counterfeit + Politely refuse the note and ask for another + Inform the VPD or non-emerg of a possible attempt For more information visit the VPD website or Bank of Canada website under “Counterfeit Prevention”
