The Shaman Chair — formed from Victorian Ash, a native timber drawn from managed forests that were grown, harvested, and renewed over generations… until the system itself was switched off. Not ancient myth. Not untouched wilderness. A working landscape brought to a sudden stillness. This timber carries that contradiction. Something both cultivated and final. A chair- yes, but also a memory of a cycle that no longer turns. Snapped in this beautiful abode by @nathan.ngo

Built from a series of softened forms, arranged to sit naturally within a home and bring a sense of balance to the space around it. The Pebble leans into organic shape and proportion — like stones on a riverbed, smoothed by running water. A collaborative work by Luke Makris and Nathan Ngo. Enquires open. The Lando Chair When I first began this chair, I carried an image in my mind — a precise vision of what it ought to be. But reality has its own currents. The creative process is not a straight line, it’s an unfolding mystery. And sometimes, you don’t get what you planned… you get what you’re given. The Lando was such a gift. It wasn’t designed so much as it revealed itself. It happened, and in happening, it was perfect. In 2020, just as Lando Norris climbed to his first Formula 1 podium, I released the chair and gave it his name. To me it always carried the feeling of a cockpit — a vessel — only tuned for comfort rather than velocity. At that time, the people around me were skeptical, even dismissive. They couldn’t see the pattern I was tracing. But doubt is the shadow that attends every true act of creation. And what emerged proved them wrong. Over six years, though only 15 were made, the Lando became my most sought-after chair. A small chorus of affirmation against the noise of disbelief. Now the pattern deepens. Ten new frames are being built in solid oak. The joinery is refined, the base more sophisticated — the same spirit, but evolved. I am busy filling orders, but the doors are now open: pre-orders for the new Lando begin today.🪑
