"Hey, Friend" an exhibition of over 20 Hudson Valley-based artists who are all members of the Hudson Valley Studio Group, founded in 2019 by artist and educator Courtney Puckett. ⠀

This year’s exhibition will focus on the connections we foment and the community we embrace as artists, both in our studio practices as well as in our day to day lives. As we face an increasingly turbulent and unstable society and political landscape, it is more imperative than ever that we lean into our own communities as an act of resistance in the face of authoritarian rule. The seeds we plant and nurture in our own backyards have the power to radiate good will and good work in a ripple effect. This exhibition embraces the call to “think globally, act locally” by showcasing a group of artists who have grown over the past seven years to support each other by organizing exhibitions, sharing resources and recommendations, and exchanging artworks. In addition to the “Hey, Friend” exhibition on the first floor, Alex Gingrow (a member of the Hudson Valley Studio Group) and Michael Scoggins will have their studios open to the public on the second floor.⠀
